what the difference: Type R and Type iS???

LOTS.. I own both.... both are very good cars. The R will outperform stock by far, but with a few simple mods its back up with it.... I think the K series responds better to basic mods....
I/H/E....The S is more torquey im my opinion..The handling I like to but its gonna take some deep pockets to take the win through curves in the S....
Hell buy both......

Well with the refresh of the body, the Integra iS is now called the Integra TypeS, though it still only has a 160ps K20A. Does come with 17" wheels, up from the old 16" on the iS.
To the original poster, the differences are night and day between the 2, to start off with, try 60ps power difference and about 10 lb-ft of torque. R revs to 8600 the Type S or old iS rev to 6800. Then you have the brakes, front lower control arms, suspension and settings, seats, extra chassis welds and bars, and so on. There really is no comparison between the 2. It is like the old model DC2, there was the SiR-G and the Type R or stateside GSR and Type R, look a little similar, but 2 completely different beasts.
