i posted this in the EF forum..but i thought maybe someone in here has had HX rims on their teg....

k so i put hx rims on my hatch..but i have DA front brakes. the rims r fine on the rear but the front..they wont turn. they go on fine but when i bolt them down they wont turn. then when i try to pull them off it shard to get htem off..like they are stuck on something. what should i do. i had my stock crx si wheels on there no prob..and i think they are both 14"...could i use washers or something?

 

Dude your wheels are hitting your brake caliper, they're not gonna work. You need at least 14 in wheels for the teg brakes.

 

the vx 13's will not fit.. the hx 14's will rub the brake.. you need to get 5 mm wheel spacers..

 

yea u need spacers to clear...

 

wth is a spacer. i posted the same thing in the EF forum and i got a link to grindin down the caliper a little.

grinding the caliper works too

 

If you've got an air grinder and a little bit of patience you can take the material off the caliper, if not then just get some spacers.

 

wouldn't spacers be economically better though, I mean I don't know anything about grinding the caliper and what it does but my friend used spacers for his car and diddn't pay much for it

 

WHAT IS A Spacer?! any pics? where can i get them? sorry ive never had to deal with this.
