Default Gangsta Intake Comments Welcome

Anyone with a cold air or short ram intake touch that thing after driving.. it gets damn hot. Metal intake + Hot Engine = Warmer intake air
I had some heat wrap left over from my header so i figured wtf, why not wrap it too. Theres no way for the tube to get hot if it can't absorb the heat!!!

** I know the engine bay is dirty... Its Massachusetts and lately it snows more than it doesn't... Forecast for tonight 6 to 10 inches** I'll clean it next month!!!!

Not a bad idea. Not needed here though, I have Iceman which is made out of some plastic and it doesn't get hot

You wash your car? I'm in CT and I haven't wash mine in 8 months. I make sure no one even thinks of looking at my car cause its so dirty. haha

Nice work on the wrap, I might have to do that, damn shiny intake.

For $2.00, i just rinse the outside of the car off once a week at the manual car wash, and rinse out the inner wheel wells. Salt gets trapped on the lip in the wheel well and i don't need it to rot!!! i haven't hit it with a sponge since october, sand/salt = scratches.....

i'm too lazy to remove the intake resonator... besides it still supplies some cooler outside air to the engine bay

**i bought the Phillips Ballasts on ebay and hardwired them to my factory lighting with 30amp relays. I bought aftermarket 8000k HID bulbs, cut the connectors off of the bulbs and the output wire of the ballast and soldered them together for permanent fit. When i have to go for inspection, i pull the connector from the ballast end, take the wire out with the bulb attached, install $hitty Halogens and i have high beams again for 20 minutes!!!** any questions about HID send me an email desi778@hotmail.com

That doesn't look bad at all. I like that color wrap better than the normal mummy wrap.

Pretty Gangsta indeed...

my buddy did that exact same thing to his intake pipe except instead of an exposed filter he has a OEM USDM ITR Air box attached too the end...
