D16A7 SOHC 16Valve Need Help with Head?!
Hi guys im from good old South Africa somewhere far south from everyone else.
I need some help I have a D16a7 Motor (auto) i am in the process of converting to manual. Anyway the head i have at the moment is non v-tec. I have spoken to few people and they say that a SOHC v-tec head will fit perfectly on my existing block. Is this true?
The car is fuel injected so the distributor etc wont have to be changed.
Please anyone help on this would be much appreciated.

Back in my country,Barbados, the d16a7 came in a rover and it was already sohc vtec..
130 psi..torque ??..probably around 100ft/lbs..
It's Similar to the d16z2
But if yours is not you can use any sohc vtec d-series head..All you have to do is take out the oil jet in the block(The sohc vtec heads already have one)...And if you cant make your distributor fit on the head then you may have to use the sohc vtec dizzy and convert to whatever obd that is and use whatever ecu it comes with..And of course wire in the vtec wires..
