Got ran over by a bus....
THis actually happened about 3 weeks ago but i haven't been able to get the picture up until now....
The Story:
I was sitting at a stop light, about 9 feet back from the white line. I was playing with the radio or the air or something and my buddy in the passenger seat screams, literally. I hear some awful noise and my car suddenly jolted up and down. The bus, an elementary school bus full of little kids, made the left turn onto the street i was on to sharply. The front of the bus pulled around and the back followed straight across the front of the car, the rear tires on the driver side came over my car and the jolting of the car was the bus slamming back down off the wheels. This was not a good day.
The damage, hard to see it all in this picture, it was from my camera phone;
The entire front end, both headlights/fenders. hood, front bumper, windshield washer fluid resevoir, radiator support, intake, fender/headlight supports, and all of the plastic trimming for the underside of the front end. I was very shocked that there was no suspension damage and that the intake was the only engine part to suffer. Total with paint and labor is $8900.

Unfortunately when i get this car back its going to be completely stock with an intake. So, i guess i am starting from scratch.. by the way my coilovers and wheels were not damaged in the accident, those have different stories...
The wheels were sold about 7 months ago because i wasn't planning on keeping the car.
The coilovers were taken off as a result of my mechanic thinking that they were not "safe" for the car and that they were causing frame distortions. I think he is full of **** but oh well.
I am planning on keepin the car for another year and then getting a CL, wheather i am going to spend anymore money to mod this car is unsure, but i doubt i am going to waste it on this pos.

Im guessing he did!
Im guessing he did!
couldn't total the car because the damage would need to be 75% to 80% of the retail value of the car, in this case it would have been $2500 more.
I hope the kids arent traumatized...but you should go to the school system that owns that bus. They should give you some extra money and a HUGE *** apology, they could probably be sued by both parents and you for that driver...
