Default tire sizes

So the winters is almost gone and I'm gonna put on my 16s soon but till then I'm on factory steel wheels and need new tires for 2 of them, the tires on them are 195/60/14 and I'm getting a good deal at work for 195/75/14, but the guy that was selling had some concers of the tire fitting the car so would the bigger sidewall make a difference? or would it be ok to put on the steel wheels

That's a lot taller than the stock tire. Besides odometer accuracy, I'd be worried about rubbing the fenders.

If your car's lowered you're gonna tear up your fenderwells and you'll probably pop a tire as well. And like previously mentioned your speedo's gonna be way off as these tires are huge on your car.

I'd say you could probably slide with a 195/65/14, but I wouldn't even try a 75. They are going to be really tall and will probably rub. Plus they'll look dumb compared to the other 2 60s on there. Just buy some new ones from tirerack.com, 195/60/14 size tires are pretty inexpensive, especially only 2.

See for yourself. I wouldn't do it.

According to that, your speedo will be off by almost 10%, not to mention the potenbtial hazards to you and your car.
