can someone tell me the goods and bads about a b20 and a b18c1 motor? thanks.

 

B20 has a lot of displacement for a b series motor

b18c1 is one of the best vtec motors because they were produced in the us market from 94-01 and they are not as high strung as the itr motor. Cost is cheaper as well. Most people use the itr motor for N/A builds and the gsr motor is the best all around for n/a or f/i

 

B20B/Z
Good - Good torque for a b-series
Bad - Can't rev very high, not an ITR

B18C1
Good - More torque than a B16, high revability, makes decent power
Bad - Not an ITR, some say the IM sucks

 

h22a>b series

 

does the b20 or h22 come in vtec or no

 

B20 = non VTEC
H22 = yes VTEC
