Default Can my hatch chassis be straightened?*working pics*

I just picked up a super mint 90 Si hatch. Only problem is it was hit in the rear and the pass. side quarter is buckled a little. Ive heard from some that it can be brought back out, and some said it cant. I need a final answer before i go searching for a new shell, or go to body shops looking for qoutes.

Also, if possible, could u give me an average price for this kind of work.

Maybe imagestation will have better luck

Shops charge by the hour for work on the frame rack, so your best bet would be to take it to a few shops to get an estimate.

the labor for my frame work was around $37 an hour.. that def will vary tho as to which shop you take it too. but i dont think that the damage on that hatch is too bad so it shouldnt be too many hours labor. I would think prob $500 if that on the labor itself

for that side quarter, i doubt a shop wuld use the frame machine to pull that out, they might use a stud gun, which welds studs onto the damage then u take this hammer that grasps the studs and with each stroke the damage gets pulled out. From what I understand you can buy these stud guns for like 100-200. But I may be wrong

Yea ive already got a dent puller and everything to do body work( painted prolly 5-6 cars now) I just know that the gap under the window is off, so the quarter is pushed up, which means it needs pulled back out to line **** back up, and then the rear of the car is probably pushed about 1-1 1/2 inches forward. I dont care about that. as long as i can get the hatch and lights to line up i dont care what the metal underneath looks like. Basically getting that quarter back straight is my only concern.

Yuo are just worried about the quarter panel? I would be worried that some of the suspension has been shifted

actually it is mint, its got 60k on it, interior look like they have barely been in, and the drivetrain is like new. If I could find a decent shell for cheaper than its going to be to fix, I would, but as of yet, i havent found one obviously, or i wouldnt be making this post.

That can easaly be fixed by a body shop just depends how much you want to spend. The same thing happened on my 99' civic and it cost $1,000 total. With paint, frame work, etc.
