Default Clutch or Tranny Gone?

Recently my civic started to have this problem where whenever i was in gear and made a left or right turn and sometimes accelerate there would be some really loud banging and car basically would start jumping first i thought it was the axles cause it only happened when i turned then i figured whats the possibilty of 2 axles goin at the same time then i considered that it could be motor mounts then i realized when i took the car outta gear and turned there would be no jumping or loud banging noises.... well then i heard it could possibly be the gears in my tranny are messed or its my clutch ... welll yesterday night i was driving the car and the clutch went so i had to get my car towed to my house and then i tried to turn it on at my house and it would'nt start so i figured if that the clutch was soooo worn that it would'nt engage enough for me to even turn my car on!!..... well if any of u peoples can help me figure this 1 out it would certainly be helpful

Bump, I'm curious as to what this guys problem is. Cus I was talkin to one of my friends who owns DSM and he was explaining crank walk to me, and this sounds very similar to the symptoms he mentioned. What are the odds of this happening on a honda though? Hopefully its just the clutch.

Go to http://www.dsmtuners.com and use their search feature. Search for crankwalk, it is very unlikely to happen in a honda. I've seen it happen in one nissan. I would look more into crankwalk before you try to relate it this problem. - Darrell

well i checked out the crankwalk situation and the only symptom that seems kinda close to mines is "RPMS decreasing significantly when clutch pedal is depressed " which when i pressed on the pedal it was'nt that big of a drop in rpm's .... would it be safer 2 go and buy a new clutch or just buy a used d16 tranny from a friend of mine's doesnt have no problems but i guess since i really dont know if is the clutch or tranny would'nt it just be easier to replace just the whole thing

i would assume that the center pin (probably not the right name for it) in the diff that holds the spider gears in place broke that happened to me i thought one of my cv's was goin out and on my way to get a new one i shifted once and it broke i had nothin my speedo went up and down and i went no where. hopefully it is somthin cheap and simple for ya

Once you do the hydro conversion do a writeup on it. Not many people do that conversion because there are not any kits available
