hey all whats up

i got a good deal on a 1997 black 5 speed honda civic hx...it has 101,000 mileage and the guy is selling it to me for $3350....i drove the car and it seemed fine to me....the car has a new paint job...no mechanical problems...no physical damage...the car seems fine

then i checked the VIN on carfax and saw that the car was totaled in 2000 and fixed and rebuilt

should i still buy the car despite the fact that it was salvaged 5 years ago or no?

is there anything i can check to see if its ok?

i would not buy anything that has been repainted.

 

wouldn't buy anything salvaged..esp a civic. maybe a 3rd gen rx7 for like 1000 bucks. i wouldn't buy it if i were you.

 

I wouldnt buy a salvaged car for that price tag personally. I know alot of people who would though.
