I don't know for sure if they will fit but there is one way to find out...try them. I know for sure that b16 cam gears can be machined to fit under the t-belt on the zc. (b16 gears are a bit wider than the zc ones.) I also know that jun makes cam gears specifically for the zc.

JUN's are a bit too much $$ IMO. I remember reading on quickhonda a long time ago about the 88-89 teg gear's 'not' fitting.... go w/ the b series gears.

go with b series gears that is what i have on my ZC now from AEm. originally for a b16. and they did not need to be modified at all. yes they are a lil wider but nothing that will damage the belt.

Don't expect much from gears on a ZC. They don't respond all that much to cam tuning from my experience. Maybe your results will be better than mine. We tried about 10,000 different combos, and basically in the end, the curve looked almost identical with a 3hp peak difference and a tad bit less drop off in the high rpms.

Lets put it this way, the teg ECU, header, and just about everything else I've ever done seemed to make a bigger difference than the gears. I say save your cam gear money, and buy some cams, or a turbo kit, or a subscription to hustler.

That's because 1G integra's use 40 tooth cam gears, where the ZC and B series use 34 tooth gears. Sure they will fit, and if you find a timing belt to fit.....hmm.....cam/crank ratio is fixed at what? 2:1?

Also, it's the backspacing that is different between the B series and ZC gears. That is what needs to be machined.

nope...think that's it. I think maybe the head studs are the same....something like that. someone on the resource was making a complete zc rebuild guide....

The head studs are the same as a VW Jetta/Golf 16v engine.

you dont need cam gears, dohc zc motors have self adjusting cam gears, that little silver thing on the bottom left hand corner of the valve cover, if u do see any power at all its like 1hp, your better off saving your money , an gettin some cams, jg makes good ones an so does web

Make sure you get an aggressive cam. I'd imagine that the street cams for the 89 integra aren't any more aggresive than the ZC cams.

I have used Crower Regrind CAms on my ZC with a B-series Cam gear on the intake cam only, and it works great.. Dropped my ET's by .3

The JDM ZC's cams vs. the USDM Integra's cams were more aggressive indeed. Also the pistons were dome shoped thus a little stronger too. ZC's had better flowing heads as well.

To elaborate, the JDM ZC cams have .040" more lift across the board (intake and exhaust) than the 88-89 Integra cams. I measured them.

The ZC pistons are actually exactly the same as the 88-89 integra pistons - domed, 9.5:1 CR. The 86-87 Integra pistons are the exact same as the D16A6 pistons - flat top, 9.1:1 CR

The ZC head is a different casting and is rumored to flow better. I'm not saying it does or does not, but I've never seen any data to support the rumor. Who flows HOnda heads? The casting is different because of the motor mounting system difference beween the 88+ body and the old 84-87 platform (the 86-89 Integra is built directly on the 84-87 Civic platform. Many structural parts cross over).
