I used 2 credit cards to pay for the swap becuase they were both at 2.99% apr(6 Months) and 0% apr(3 Months). $3300. Then I sold alot of aftermarket and Oem parts from the D16 and accumulated about 1k.

Dont use credit cards unless you are capable of paying them off.

Save and pay by cash, money order, check, etc..Your own funds.

I got my motor from HAP Recycling in 916.

If you've got cash, call & talk to hmo. Im sure you will be able to send them a money order or something.

I bought my first swap, a complete totalled 94 del sol, for $2000. I had wanted to get my car painted n stuff too, so I took a personal loan out through my credit union for $4000. I paid it off way early, after 16 months.
Yah, id say it was worth it for me at the time.

I paid 2300 for the engine and about 1200 for the labor, then I took a loan out from my parents and am still paying them back and it's been over a year now. I totally regret it now. They always ask for each months payment and it gives them one more thing to nag about.

I pay for my Honda parts by working a real job. I mean, pretty simple concept in my mind......work a job, get paid for it, put the funds towards monthly expenses as well the goodies on the side.

My first swap, I came around a little money and decided I wanted a civic and to do a swap. Bought the 92 Dx hatch for 750 in late 2001. Bought the LS swap for 900 in late 2001 too. Drove the hatch with the D in it for the ride back and yanked it out the next day. Turboed it in early 2002 I think, then crashed it.

Bought a 93 hatch in December for 800, bought another LS swap for somthign around 400. Trans is fucked up or it would be running and moving. Been looking for a good deal on a trans while buying turbo parts.

Bought a 92 Vx somewhere in the middle of this swap for 900, started peicing another LS I bought for it, was going to do an LSVtec-T. My sister jacked all this hatches swap parts, so I sold the car for 1525 last month.

I try to pay all in cash, check or M/O. I owe the bank 5k on my g-mothers account because I go overboard on whenever I buy anything and I'm not 18 so I can't legally have one.

I have a good job, so I can kinda afford it but not really cause I have other **** to pay for. I just put pleasure before anything else.

Credit Card...still owe around 400. I used most of the money I made over the summer to get the motor, install, and other parts, then sold OEM parts and D16 to help pay for the swap.
