G3 Integra Weight Reduction - (even skiddles under the seat count)
I was curious to see what all weight reduction you fellas have done, and what kind of weights you are looking at after the reduction.
Heres my current car's weight reduction info.
2000 Integra LS:
Things I've removed (no this is not a daily, but it used to be
)
Sound deadening material
Air Conditioning System
Heating system core and all
Vents from inside of dash
Passengers side airbag
All wipers/resivoirs/wiper motors and lines
Radio/speakers/wire
Heavy plastic dash skeleton - made much lighter and simpler one out of aluminum and fiberglass
Front bumper support
Rear bumper support
Wheel well splash guards (part of them)
The ABS fuse box, and control module (from under hood)
Spare/Jack/Cover
Radio Antenna
Factory exhaust
Factory intake box
OEM Hood (replaced w/ carbon fiber)
No rear seat/rear seatbelts
Power Steering (looped @ the rack)
Currently weighing in at 2450 w/o me in it.
Future weight reduction plans include:
Replacement of OEM seats. . .
I left all the interior plastics so that it sill looks like it has a full interior. . .
I am VERY happy with what weight reduction has done for me. It probably made the difference between running 12's and running 13's for me last year.
I made my first 12 second pass (12.812 @ 106) on a itty bitty turbo at 7-8 PSI. . . my car was probably making 230-240 horsepower at that time, but I never got it dyno'd so I can't say for sure.
Anyways - looking forward to seeing what you guys post up. . . hoping maybe I can find some more **** to yank!
