Default >>>ITB VS HONDATA<<<

yes i did a search...

i have a gsr with cams and basic three, and i want to know if i should upragde my manifold and ecu (with hondata) or should i take the itb route...my car is daily driven and ive heard anywhere from 15 to 30 mpg fuel efficiency wise with itbs which kinda bothers me...anyone know what the power and fuel econ differences are between the two setups???i would really love some definite answers...thanks in advance guys:.

your stock ecu will not run the itbs correctly so i would advise get something to manage them first and as far fuel consumption.... if you ad more air to an engine you will have add fuel so itbs may take more fuel. if you are worried about fuel economy why would you spend thousands of dollars to make more power? keep it stock if you want fuel economy..

as far as hp gains you need to do internal work to see the best gains. such as larger displacement, porting.

itbs are not for everyone. they are for the person who has done everthing else and are looking for more power all motor.

oh i wasnt going to spend thousands...i was gunna buy a ghetto setup made from bike itbs...so i would spend like 5 bills on the itb and another two or three for a vtec controller...hondata tuned and everything is about the same price wise...so thats why i was wondering...but i guess itbs are the last mod...a way to pump out all of a car's potential...im not ready i guess:.

Len was getting 30 something MPG with his ITB setup a little over a year ago. I've recorded as good as 24 MPG only partially tuned. Honestly, I believe Crome has one up on Hondata as far as ITB tuning is concerned, but then again there's also a lot less technical support for Crome.

could you expand on the hondata vs. crome w/ itb'z? I have a set of og Blitz ITB's for my LS/VTEC (11.5: 1 compression) and was going to get Hondata for it...
Why do you think crome is a better option? (besides the price)... easier to get a good tune?
Thanks
Hank
