soo... radars.. im thinking of getting one..anyone use them? where do u guys mount/put urs other then the front windshield.. also what good brand should i get?

yes the valentine 1 is awesome, it'll run you about $350-400 though, that's the only downside ...

you get what you pay for., the $100 ones are junk..there's a user selling a used valentine1 here on hondatech for about 3 bills..

i got an escort passport 8500 (around $300 new, -$20 if you want red lighting instead of blue)over the holiday break..saved me from two tickets already, important thing to remember is that this is just a warning, don't drive stupidly and speeding wherever you want

 

I had Cobra..it worked alright for few months..it tells even police is driving by 70%
...but some reason its not working good...i heard that police upgrade chip on their radar.so old **** cant detect radar

btw: i dont use it aymore..NONE..just chillin driving after 1Ticket ..lol

 

i've been doing my research for a week about radars. I stopped yesterday because I have came to a conclusion, only the valentine 1 is the most effective

when did i say anything about him getting what he pays for? yes i know that saying, and it is very true... i have a $100 and it works great for me..

 

This should be in GDD...But the Valentine 1 is the best out as far as I know of.

Escort Solo S2. Its clean, no wires, works awesome. No tickets. Only downsides are price and its battery operated so got to turn it on when you start your car. Batteries last about 1-2 months of everyday driving.

 

I work at Circuit City and I purchased a Beltronics Vector 960. I also bought my buddy a Vector 965. Both work great and neither one of us has gotten a ticket with them. They are very sensitive and mine detects up to and over a half mile on flat ground! It was can detect through hills. In my opinion, any of the higher end Beltronics work excellent. I say higher end because I have not had any experience with the express 925's or anything.

 

V1's r THE best. The only other detector worth getting is a high end K40.
