Default b18a crank gsr?

I have heard u can use a b18a/b crank to stroke a gsr to a 2.0l just wondered what rods u would use the stock b18a/b? or do they have to be custom. any input would really be appreciated thanks.

nope it wont stroke the motor if you use an LS crank in a GSR block. There is a VERY slight diff in displacement with the LS crank but its like 30cc i think. not sure exact numbers.

If you use an LS crank, then use LS rods. it will be pretty much an LS block with a stronger Girdle.

You wont increase the displacement to 2.0L unless you sleeve teh block 84mm and run either an LS or B20 crank.

GSR crank = 87.5mm stroke

LS crank = 89mm stroke

If you do it you have to use LS rods(5.394") b/c GSR rods(5.429") are too long. For the money you will probably spend you might want o just buy a B20 Block

So let me ask....If someone does this set up on an ITR, CTR or GS-R block they are getting a bigger stroke with the crank but but then down sizing on the rod, so basically you are canceling the the whole process in doing that??

If this does work, I have a free LS crank and rods sitting right next to me
