HELp!!!!!
Aright i was driving the rex this morning and i was coastin about 40-45ish in 3rd... Then Out of nowhere the car shuts off.... I can't pull the car out of 3rd either. it's Like someone has holding it back from moving ANYWHERE. So i ended up coasting the car to a near-by street. I start the car up but then Still can't move the stick out of 3rd. So i tried juss trying to see if the car will start off in 3rd. NOPE sounds like it's struggling and then DIES. Car doesn't move Period. It So happend my parents were passing by so they went behind me and pushed the car.. I tried to slip the clutch to see if it would catch but nothing. The tach moved up to where the proper RPM and MPH would be nothing. The Stick itself was SUPER hard to move around. All Gears were like this....So i parked it at my Cuz house cause i was close to it.
Now... Could this Be my Tranny? Axles? Shift Linkage? Clutch?
Info on the Car: 1990 CRX Si With the Stock D16A6 and Tranny.

Do you know EXACTLY what it is or should i just get a NEW Tranny.
When I try to drive it the Tach registers that i'm in motion but i'm sitting still. Could that be my axles? It Doesn't rev fast it's almost like it wants to bogg out too. and the Stick is Way to hard to Move around.

Ouch alright... Hey i ask a few people and they were thinking it could be a throw-out bearing? Possibly my Shift linkage. Whould this cause the Stick not wanting to move EASILY? I'm Fighting the stick to move and it feels as if even i tr to throw it in gear the car doesn't seem to budge.
If it was my clutch doesn't that mean the car won't start? it Starts like normal

check engine mounts.. front and rear could have a problem (in b16's if the rear mount is off, the shifter will pull front and back with the engine movement.)
Otherwise check linkage, basically shift from under the car, move that bar around.
Then check tranny.

Eliminate the small easy things first. Check the linkage, shift rod, bitch[clip]. Mine did the same, turns out the pin in the differential cracked then snapped. This has happened to me twice, doing the exact same thing as your saying. The shifter was stuck in gear, I rocked it out eventially and everything seemed alright for a while. Then a few days later I was doing 50 down an expressway and the pin completely came off and caught the differential into my casing and caused a huge hole. About 2x5" of casing exploded with the diff housing onto the road. I would get that trans out and inspect it for wear. - Darrell
