Default Suggestions on FS/FT Forum Catagories....

I mainly post on a computer forum I go to every day. It's not the only computer forum to use this, alot do. There is a forum catagory (just like the different car model catagories) that is specifically for FS/FT/WTT/WTB threads. Oh, and sorry for making a new thread on this, I just didn't want this to get lost in the 3 pages of replies on the fs/ft thread. The system works well and is alot better than a single thread in each car catagory. If you would like to see, go to http://www.rage3d.com/ and go to the forums, you should see a catagory for nothing but buying and selling hardware.

Also, since buying/selling has become so popular and people are constently being ripped off in online sales, some people made a feedback system to help in that. It's called Heatware. I think that would be a good thing to use arround here as well so that when people buy/sell items for their cars, you could leave feedback so that others will know if they are a good or bad seller or buyer. Heatware's site is at http://www.heatware.com/ you can look up my heatware name in the directory (m3talc0re) to get an idea.

Also, on a side note. I don't know if the people that run this site will read this or not, but would you be interested in a redesign of the forums? I've never skinned ZeroForum before, but I'm sure I could. I've worked with phpBB2, Invision Power Board and vBulletin before, I'm sure these forums can't be very different. You can visit my site at http://www.m3talc0re.com/ to get an idea of what I can do. Please ignore the php errors you see on the pages though. They are caused by some database problems. I recently switched servers and in the switch, the database for my forums got lost and the errors you see are there because my pages connected to my forum database to display forum stats on my pages. If you would like, I could make a mockup idea for these forums so that you could see if you would like to give the forums a makeover or not.

What the hell are you talking about. We do have a for sale forum. Its the one that says Classifieds, and there happen to be three different categories, tool. Maybe I'm not getting the point of what you're saying, but even moreso, I dont really care. The sites fine. Go away.

I didn't see the Classifieds until earlier. I'm on dialup right now and I didn't want to wait for the whole page to load. It's broken into a few catagories, but that's still kool. WTF is with the hostility?

Anyway, the heatware part would work good here. Did you even check that to see what it was? It's there so that when people buy/sell stuff online, you can give/leave feedback and that helps others so when they go to buy or sell something to/from someone, they'll know if they are a bad or good seller. Is there something wrong with knowing if you are going to get ripped off? And I'm not selling anything, I just thought I would mention it to help protect everyone on these forums from being ripped off by forum trolls.

Again, wtf is with the attacks on me? Do you have problems in your daily life you can't settle so you try to take them out here? Seriously, grow up.

The mods here banned vouch threads, I doubt they would go for it.

Vouch threads? What's a vouch thread? You mean like a thread for vouching for people if they are a good seller or what not? I'm sure some of you have used ebay. You know how when you buy or sell something on ebay, afterwards you can leave feedback on the seller? Heatware is kinda like that.

As for updating the way the site looks, I've got no business right now so I've got the free time to work on something. My site is fine for now and I don't really want to change it's layout again when I just put alot of time into creating the forum skin to match my site. I would want to do site just as a free-time project. I enjoy making and working on websites. Being paid for it is better, but it's still fun for me to just work on them anyway, lol.

the hostility is because you just joined up on h-t and start saying that you think we should change things. this website/forum could not be any better, it has everything you ever need to know as long as you know how to look properly. and you admiting to being to impatant to wait for the rest of the page to load is just as bad as people asking questions that have been answered 10000 times already and are just to lazy to do a search. so to attack it just gets old after a while and you haven't been here long enough to say that things need to change. just my .02

ohhh and welcome to honda-tech.
