Default dashboards from crx

I have a 1990 crx si that has a beat up dash and I was wondering if a dash from an 89 crx dx would fit into my si. Would the instrument cluster fit perfectly? I know the 88-89 had a square cluster and the 90-91 had a rounded cluster.

Thanks

You can always just re-use your '90 cluster hood on the '89 dash. If it's too beat up, try to find another '90-91 cluster hood, because I don't believe the '89 will fit over the larger cluster.

I thought all CRX dashes were interchangable. What is different?

They are, just the cluster and hoods were different from 88/89 and 90/91.
Just use your original cluster and hood or re wire
