So my 95 civic ex needs a new oxygen sensor. From what i've seen I can get a $200 OEM one or I can get a universal one for $90.

Is there any reason to not go with the universal one? i've been told I'll have to splice a couple wires, i think i can handle that. Any other reasons?

Get one from SparkPlugsSource on ebay. They are about $50

They are Denso brand and close to manufacture.

 

If it were me I would get the direct fit one from sparkplugs.com. screw cutting up the wires when you can get one that just plugs in.

I bought a Denso one for $65 and it plugs right into the existing plug. The ******* Stealership wanted $241 for a OEM one.

 

Which ever O2 you decide to buy, do NOT buy one that requires the cutting of any wires.
