I relocated my battery in my rear of my CRX, and the ground rusted out.
I turn onto a road and my car dies in and out, the lights died, and then came back on. So I pulled into a lot, and I sat there and re-grounded my battery, and i get power back.

So I think everything is good, no, the car wont turn over all of a sudden, and i'm hearing a sporadic, loud, popping noise coming from the region of the exhaust. I cant make any suggestions as to what it is, if something blew in the time that I was trying to reground my battery. But i've never heard a popping noise like this, and I wanna say fuel pump but I dunno.

I have to go back in the morning when theres light to further investigate, but for the most part, Ive never experienced this and Im wondering what could have blown or gone bad from re-grounding my battery.
