The hubs/knuckles on the standard 4-speed hatch are the same as the CRX HF. The tranny spline are the same on Si, DX, HF and Standard so......they should fit.

I think there are two differently numbered splines for the HF.
When I had to replace mine (On my HF), I had to count the splines, I guess there are two different numbers of splines.
And if I recall, one number is the same as the other Civics, and the other was not.
I had the strange number
So my axles were a little more, and I had to wait a few days for them to be shipped...

dont do it... the guy who previously owned my crx hf put a SI hub on it... after time because the hf axle is smaller, the axle reemed out the hub and both had to be replaced.
jeez way to ruin a thread.
No one is swapping hubs, no one is putting DX axles into their HF, or Hf axles into their Si.
As far as I know HF and STD axles are the same. So STD axles should work fine in an HF and HF axles should work fine in an STD, provided that the hubs are stock.

maybe this will provide a little more reassurance.
HF axles and STD axles have the same part number, or at least should, unless they decided to make a whole new axle of the exact same thing. Call up your local auto parts store and ask for the part numbers to the HF and STD, they should be the same.
Hope that helps a little more.

Wow.
Lots of BAD posting in this thread.
Anyone want to share what axles he should use for the Prelude knuckles he's NOT putting in his car? What about the S2000 carbon fiber driveshaft and a Ford 9 inch rear end? Will that work?
Only two posts got it right.
HF and STD are interchangable.

interesting you bring that up, will the s2k carbon fiber driveshaft work with a chevy rear end? I'm in the process of making a s2k fwd utilizing the chevy rear end and putting the engine in the back and rws (rear wheel steering) off a Denali or something of that sort.

You are going to kill yourself with that RWS.
I don't live that far away from you.
Please warn me before you take it out on the road.

I can confirm that the hf and std are the same axle and that they are indeed different from the si and dx.
(i checked the stock partnumber)

Then you would have to gear your tranny to run in reverse
