tubular control arms?
has anyone ever fabb'd up any type of tubular control arm, or A-arm like mustangs have, kinda like a 4 wheeler has, i know if the weight of a mustang can be supported so can ahonda, but how come we never see them
you better make a set out of some thick wall chromoly, with a good set of heims, uniballs, or whatever you are gonna use to attach them to the rest of the supesion with.
Z10 made a set for angela proudfoots civic, i dunno where the hell you would find pics though, ..... they didnt use the conventional honda "fork" with the shock, but the built a "triangle" on the control arm, and made the shock mount on the top of the triangle.
competion engineering also sells them(but i hear they are junk)
id have a damn set of lower custom control arms if the dude that was making them would get off his ****** ***.

Dturbocivic: man you alright??? you sound like you got some aggression built up!!!! J/K
yeah i was thinking some smaller squared style tubing, not sure of what exact material yet....... but i would like to get something lighter, i have been doing this for years on my built honda motocross 4 wheelers, they use aluminum and im sure weight is a key factor but they still can only take so much abuse from weight.
but damn are they light and make the quad handle so much better than a factory set, i know it has to do with width in this situation but ball joint angle, radius rod style connections are also the key in the equation as well.
