Default buying struts

sup guys...my mechanic said i need a front right strut. my car doesnt make a slamming noise, that everyone makes the sound to be like. i have to pay attention to it. but in the opast 2 months it has gotten a lil worse. so i htinkin of new struts. since im delain with struts, is it better to go dealer parts, rather than some auto-zone brand. will after market give me a less of a smooth ride? thanks

Yes and yes. But you can go to the junkyard and get them too if you are on a budget, or look in the classifieds here for people who have swapped out oem for aftermarket coilovers.
