Default EK sedan front and rear handles

I have keyless entry on my EK, would the rear handles from an EK sedan fit in the front doors of an EK hatch? So that I wouldn't have keyholes for a potential car thief to stick a screwdriver into (it has already happened to me).

very clean looking. How do they fit? after taking off the locking mechanism, is it bolt on? is there any modification at all?

Its plug and play....you don't need to use the locking mechanism anymore because it doesn't have a key hole...

So what do you do if your battery goes dead in the car or remote?

I was thinking the same thing... can you leave the lock / key mechanism intact behind the handle?

I had to use my key the other day because the rods inside the door were frozen and the keyless remote woudn't work. If I could just pull the handle off (possibly break it) so then be able to use the key, that would definitely be a good thing.

break the window. jk did you know if some one has the other remote and there some where else you can call them on a cell phone and when they press the button close to the phone on their end it will go through to your cell phone and open the door or it works for alarms should be the same. try it some time.

No, what I'm saying is that I had the remote, the battery was charged. If it was summer there wouldn't have been a problem.

It was -20*, and the actual rod and actuator mechanism was frozen, so it physically couldn't unlock the door. I'd push the button and it'd beep three times, and the locks wouldn't actuate. I had to use the key and force it to unlock, open the door with the alarm going off, and disarm it to start the car.

This has happened to me before, which is why I left the key mechanism in the car. I'd like to cover it with these handles, knowing that the key backup would still be there in an emergency.

So how do these install anyway, do you have to remove the inner door panel?

But then I'd be practically trapped in my car; I don't really feel like climbing out the window or trunk at work, not the best impression a consultant can give.

The problem is not a dead battery, ocassionaly the lock will freeze up, and the actuator doesn't have enough torque to unlock the door. I have to force it to unlock with the key. If I was to climb in the trunk, I still wouldn't be able to unlock the door, because it would be no different with the switch than trying the keyless entry.

But anyway, how do these things install? Do you need to remove the inner door panel?

Thanks for the help guys I'm gonna get onto it on Monday (when scrapyard re-opens)
As for no keyhole it doesn't matter, lock was wrecked by previously mentioned screwdriver
