ok..my buddy has a 94 accord lx sedan w/ power locks. Well when he hits the power lock button it will lock all doors exept the front passenger side. well it just keeps trying to lock itself for a few minutes than will stop....does this sound liek a bad locking solenoid?? if not...then what?

 

i got a 95 LX n it has the same problem, except it locks all da doors..then just keeps trying to lock itself

does it make a funny buzzing sound? usually a sign of the solenoid going out... try getting one out a junk yard, i changed mine out in about 30 mins each in a tight driveway.

 

it is a buddy of mine...his car...I havent heard it, but he said it locks all of the doors, then it will just keep trying to lock the front passenger door....I determined it wouldnt be a solenoid b/c the door actually locked...so if it were a solenoid...the door wouldnt lock, so I figured it might be a short leading up to the relay for that door, or the actual relay itself

 

The lock acuator is gone bad. There is no "solenoid". If only the one door continues to attempt to lock, replace that one doors actuator. If all of the doors are thumping, replace the main actuator in the drivers door.

 

it is just one door...and we are talking about the same thing, i just called it a solenoid b/c i didnt know the proper word for it...i will relay this message to him
