How do you take the plastic cover off the Steerinf column

Default How do you take the plastic cover off the Steerinf column

as stated in the topic how do you take off the steering column cover piece, i need to get to the ignition so i can solder in the wires for my turbo timer, thanks in advance

Look under the column there are like three screws under there..

ya it ook those out but the thing wont come off, is it supposed to seperate or something, i dont want to break it

i think it should have clip in things on each side if im not mistaken. maybe wiggle it around and mess with it for a little bit

ht well i jus looked at mine there is the 3 screws and after those come out u gotta press in right above the ignition and the same on the other side since the clips are on the inside

there are plastic clips that join both of them. just pull with ease.

they have a whole post on every topic dealing with interior/exterior/engine questions and applications at the top. You should check it out. I wouldnt of put my new CTR wheel on if it werent for that guy (and yes I might of ripped off the damn clips for the plastic cover) Luck I didnt and followed instructions.

chances are even if you try to be careful to not break the clips, they usually do break..

Sadly, I've broken more panels and clips trying to baby them off than I have just grabbing and yanking the **** out of them.
