Default haha i wrote 95 when its really a 96

well I have always had accords and so on and so forth but i recently struck a huge deal. I ended up with a 96 del sol for diiiirt cheap. only problem it was in an accident and the 2 rear panels need to be replaced. the car only has 120k and never has seen winter. i will have pics on sundaym but I need some help finding some rear quarter panels for this car.

Is it true that certain civics have the same quarter panels as my del sol. I am very interested in buying some panels ASAP. the upper frame where the back of the targa is, isnt bent at all maybe like a good 7-9" below that. the whole panels are smashed in but I am pumped about this deal and I hope everything can work out.

well mine was professionally done and had to blend paint ect... the main problem with replacing them is that you have to cut them out and weld a new one back in

Truthfully, you can buy a sell in better shape for the price you would pay to fix that.

buy the tool that pulls the the metal out its like a rod with a hook that goes into your panel which you must drill a hole and theres a dead weight attached to the rod and yank on the weight and it pulls the metal out.
make it a project.
if you have a earl schibe over there take it there. it sucks but its a cheap fix. thats my 2 cents. good luck.

a slide hammer wont fix all that take that **** to a local technical college or something an just pay for the parts their labor is free. Your gonna have to cut those rear quarters off an weld new ones on there theres no way you could possible do anything else that **** go rocked. an you need that entire bumper not just the cover. brackets are prob all bent up to. that could cost you some serious money

The reason why he was able to get it dirt cheap, cause it's gonna you a pretty penny to fix. I hope at least it has a clean title.

Looks like my car, hehe, except i don't have altezzas or a del sol sticker. Welcome to possibly owning the weirdest and sometimes poorly designed honda ever. Have fun with it, I love my car.

so do you think it is worth to put my time and effort into this car...my buddy is certified welder and has all the tools to weld new panels on. but do you think it is too much money to spend on a cheap car i could fix...title is clean just shows major accident..and the lein was just taking off...im still thinking about picking it up....how much do u think it would cost for the rear panels and bumper??? im sure stock tails are cheap..

for now im not looking to paint it or nothing...would take all those stickers off and probably do a complete swap and everything...just take some time doing it all.
thats why i love this place..all the insight and different opinions to levy out every situation i might have.

i appreciate all the help and comments...please keep them coming

Nice sol. Salavaged title? The repairs for that are going to cost as much as the car is worth in mint condition unless you do it yourself.
