Default 95 Dx won't start

Hey guys I've got a 1995 civic dx coupe with the d-15 and a 5 speed. My problem is simple; the engine won't start. It will try, but it won't actually start. I've checked and it's got fuel to the fuel rail, and it's got spark. I've tried changing the plugs, checking the timing, checked the distributor, put in a new fuel filter, and i've checked all the injectors and they are within tolerance. Anyone have an idea of what to do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated

well if it has fuel and spark, unless there is something clogging your airintake, you have air, the last things are initial timming and compression. make sure you have both of those 2 and it should start. if you are missing either one of those 2 you need to explore it a little more. make sure the timming belt hasnt jumped.

thanks, that is the clearest, most concise answer I've gotten yet. I checked the timing belt and it is brand new. My dad has a timing light that I'll try next time I go over, and I'll get a hold of a compression tester to try that as well. If there is no compression then what is the next step? replace rings or just rebuild the whole engine?

if you dont' have any compression you should do a rebuild. but if your compression is just really low then you prolly need to rings.

So does the car just crank, or does it actually fire and then just die out?

The battery is fully charged, cause I charged it a few days ago. I checked the spark and it was really weak so i've put a new coil in the distributor, now I have to go put that back in and see if it made a difference. It's got compression and it's getting air. it will try to crank but will not actually start.

i just over came this problem, and u wouldnt beleive wat was wrong. go over ur harnesses to the dizzy and maybe by ur fuels. move them around incase any of them decided to slip out. cheapest bet if u run outta money on replaceing things.

I don't think it's the starter, because it actually tries to start. I've got the main relay out and i'm hoping to replace that this week. I just got a hold of the title, so now i'm really going to try and get her running quickly

Is the engine cranking over like normal or is it slower. If it's not turning like normal it's probably your starter. Sometimes they get weak and don't put out enough amps like they should. just cause it has enough power to make it turn doesn't mean she'll fire.
