Default k20a2 or k24a2?

What are the differences between the k20a2 and the k24a2 as far as power potential? I'am interested in doing a swap but can't decide which one to go with. I've read about the k20a2 but havent found to much on the k24a2, so if anyone can shed some light on the k24a2 would be great.

im also in the market for a K and im wondering which K comes in what car stock, are the trannys interchangable?

what i know so far:

k20a-r = Jdm RSX Type-R
k20a2 = Usdm RSX Type-S
k20a3 = Usdm Civic SI

k24 = TSX or TL? What type of tranny, redline? If i drop it in stock internals (bc ill be out of money by then ) Worth it?

</TD></TR></TABLE> i believe the Tl has a single cam J- something engine. The k24 came in the tsx, element,crvs and accords. The element, accord and crv come with 9.6 CR while the tsx comes with 10.5 CR. If your planning on using a k24 block use either the tsx or crv....the other two will cause piston to valve contact. and im not sure on the trannys though....

The TSX k24a2 is a completelly different motor than the other k24a.. It is basically a rsx type s motor but with 2.4L , so instead of 86 x 86 it is 87 x 99.

It also has oil squirters like the k20a and k20a2.

Honda stock ecu, redlines it around 7100 but we take it arounf 7500 and I have seen a few people take them up to 8200 but better rods would be a good idea.
