Im just wondering why there are red weaves in it.......?????

Some local is selling it for around $200..(For 88-91 civic/crx)...And he says its red because its jdm...

 

i wouldn't even put that in my house, let alone my car

Its pretty cool that its red. But Its ugly. Really ugly!

 

same reason there are white, red, green, black, etc. rims....cuz some poeple like it and actualy put it on their cars. i'm surprised this is the first you've heard of it, they've had those for a while now, they even have blue and yellow too.

 

we've had those here in the UK for a couple of months, they are all the rage in some circles in Japan, more colour matching

 

it night look ok on a red CRX but...

 

I had never seen that before..That's why I was asking..

Ive seen full painted carbon hoods...And thats what Ill do anyway..Dont want a theif to see the carbon fiber..

yeah you can find blue gold green and red usually. Along with the regular grey.

I cant think of his username but hes got a red 99 ls with one of those on there and i think his wife has a 00 si with a blue one.

You're correct. Red, blue, yellow, silver, green, and a few others.

Suprised people haven't seen these, they've been around on imports since the mid 90's

isnt that carbon kevlar or something like that? they have tons of colors no real purpose.

 

It's just a freakin colored carbon fiber hood. That's all there is to it. Has read weaves in it,

 

NO, actually upstate was right in his post. The different colors are strands of kevlar woven in with the carbon strands. IMHO it's Fugly!

 

Maby on a red civic/crx it might look good.

 

that fabric is a hybrid carbon/klevar.. .. for 200 thats a good price

 

YEa its carbon kevlar. The Kevlar strands can be dyed to give the hood a color. Which imo makes it look hideous. Carbon fiber is ugly as it is (though still very pimp).
