Im just wondering why there are red weaves in it.......?????

Some local is selling it for around $200..(For 88-91 civic/crx)...And he says its red because its jdm...

same reason there are white, red, green, black, etc. rims....cuz some poeple like it and actualy put it on their cars. i'm surprised this is the first you've heard of it, they've had those for a while now, they even have blue and yellow too.

we've had those here in the UK for a couple of months, they are all the rage in some circles in Japan, more colour matching

I had never seen that before..That's why I was asking..

Ive seen full painted carbon hoods...And thats what Ill do anyway..Dont want a theif to see the carbon fiber..

I was just wondering why it was red.

yeah you can find blue gold green and red usually. Along with the regular grey.

You're correct. Red, blue, yellow, silver, green, and a few others.

Suprised people haven't seen these, they've been around on imports since the mid 90's

NO, actually upstate was right in his post. The different colors are strands of kevlar woven in with the carbon strands. IMHO it's Fugly!

YEa its carbon kevlar. The Kevlar strands can be dyed to give the hood a color. Which imo makes it look hideous. Carbon fiber is ugly as it is (though still very pimp).
