d16y8 mini me or Ls/vtec which do you recommend !!!!
Ok looks like im gonna be doing the minime d16y8 swap in my rex
I really want the ls vtec but cant afford it right now
Can someone tell me how badly i would get beat against same car with the ls if im running the minime
and would there be anything i could do to meet the power of the ls realatively reasonably (not like nos or turbo)
And also if in the future i get an ls/vtec, how difficult is it to swap the minime out
thanks guys
preciate it

LS/VTEC > Sohc VTEC
LS > Sohc VTEC
it'll be just like a sohc to b series swap in the future, except convert it to OBD-I for the mini-me so it'll be ready for a nice later B series.

You swap out the minime just like any other motor..
Why not just forget about the minime and save up for the lsvtec..?
Buy the mounts and linkage one week..
Buy a b18a/b short block, vtec oil pump and some arp rod bolts another week
Buy the dohc vtec head, arp head studs, and ge lsvtec kit another week
Then buy the correct ecu and 90-93 integra halfshaft and axles another..
You'll have the lsvtec done in no time..

If you're low on funds, I suggest you do an LS swap for now.. you can always do the conversion later. I've also seen a lot of sick all motor LSes.
