D16 minime or ls vtec which do you recommend
Ok looks like im gonna be doing the minime d16y8 swap in my hatch/rex
I really want the ls vtec but cant afford it right now
Can someone tell me how badly i would get beat against same car with the ls if im running the minime
and would there be anything i could do to meet the power of the ls realatively reasonably (not like nos or turbo)
And also if in the future i get an ls/vtec, how difficult is it to swap the minime out
thanks guys
preciate it

well it all depends if u have money.. cheap way is prob. the mini me but you would need to build it prob to keep up wit the ls...there is a rex where i live that has a minime that runs 12s..i think its built or its usin nitrious...
why wouldn't you want to use nitrous? if you use it for only when you go to the track your engine should withstand it, depending upon the size shot. with a 55-75 shot you should have no prob taking out an ls and a gsr. also nitrous is cheap. you can pick up a kit for as low as $250 off a h-t member. anyways keep us posted on what you decide to do
if i were you i would just save up to build a ls/vtec. it'll be worth it. that is if you build it right. a ls/vtec buikt right will run its as off. but on the other hand i've seen them run like ****. my boy had one in his Si and i could keep up with it when my b16 eg was stock. but then again i got one of those rare honda freak motors.
