Default s1 transmission question

Well today i went to the junkyard to find a real riced out 2nd gen teg. Well anyways i took the transmission out because i am in need of a cable on for my 4dr. swap im getting ready to do. Anyways, it is a 1990 or 1991 integra i got the transmission from. Now on my 2nd gen it has a YS1 tranny and it is a 1990. I am 1000% positive that it says s1 on the tranny sticker.

So i figured i buy it. The car was rear ended so i figured heck: It cost $49.99 for the tranny, $20.00 for the core and like 8 or 9 bucks in tax/envir. fees.... So basically for 60 bucks all said and done, IMO it was well worth it.

What is a s1 from. I didnt think that was from a usdm integra. I didnt even realize it was a s1 until i got home and started cleaning all the crap off it. Ive done a little searching-(hard since you cant type in 2 letters) and i have came up with that it came of a JDM integra XSi or a JDM civic SiR. And apparently it is geared super short....

Can anyone tell me if i hit something good here? Or is it just another stock usdm tranny? Anyone can give me the gearing id really appreciate it.
Thanks

the integra from japan came with that trans real shot gear but so did the integra in america but the gears are not long the s1 comes from the 90-91 integra so if u get a clutch u will have to get it for a 90-91 integra not 92-93 the clutch is different most likely u got a usdm trans with long gears

You got the USDM s1, it's from an LS Teg, long gears.

well you can open the case and count the teeth on 5th gear and i will do the same on my jdm s1 b16 short-geared tranny's 5th gear and if they are the same then you have a jdm and if you have less then you have a usdm.
but i'd bet yours is the usdm 90-93 ls/gs/rs integra, like El Vap said.

well maybe my sense of humor is off-the-wall, but i was attempting to make a joke about the current JDM craze and some people's manner of speaking/typing.

i was saying that if the transmission is "mad tight" then it must be of Japanese Domestic Market origins, because if you know anything these days, it is that anything and everything that is of Japanese Domestic Market origin is superlative.

i am not attempting to make fun of anyone in particular, especially since i realize that alot of JDM stuff is superior to usdm, but the infamous "ricers" that exist do take it too far sometimes, so maybe i am poking fun at honda-tech's favorite whipping boys.

anyway, maybe i just shouldn't try to be funny on the internet, or even in RL, for that matter.

phukk it, i'm just gonna be me and do what i like.

Don't complain! Those things are gold up here. I'd pull out 3 or 4 of them if I lived near you, just as backups.
