oaky heres the deal.....

i was driving around for about a week with a CEL code 41(bad primary o2 sensor).
I have recently bought a replacement , but i have not put it in yet.

Now, on my gauge pod, the CEL is gone, but if i jump the connector, it still gives me the code 41.....

so, the CEL was there for a week, Now its gone, but if i jump the connector, its still there????

anyone had somethign liek this beforE????

 

I had that problem, cel not showing but when i jump the connector it would give me a code, with my car. Fix your o2 sensor and it should be fine.

 

after so many start cycles the CEL turns off. replace it and reset the ECU and you should be fine

 

that means its working right now, your ecu never deletes a code by itself.

 

Take out the sensor and clean it with a clean rag. That will solve your problem.
