...all motor AP1 ...anyone upgraded theyre pistons? ...improvements?
from the factory "they are" forged already. other people who have upgraded "their" pistons are typically stroking the motor or dropping the compression for turbo applications.
no real need to.... no need to change the pistons even if you are going boosted.... they have pushed 26psi on a stock bottom with no problems.....
however if you get a stroker kit you probalby will upgrade... just cause it's needed..

Wow thast it, well I guess it makes sense. I believe the stock pistoms start touching the valves at 10200 rpms, so I guess there just isnt the extra compression room to play with.

Would another OEM piston be considered a piston upgrade?
Would another OEM piston be considered a piston upgrade?
well the jdm s2k's have more power cuase of the higher compression.. i think it's like 0.10 or was it 0.20? i dont' remember exactly...
if anyone needs custom high compression pistions for s2000 call TSR and ask for MIke
!!! he will get you anything you need even if they dont make it!! he is a honda GOD!!! give TSR Performance a call for anything you need 410-760-5995

...SO IF MIKE, THE CAR GOD, WAS ABLE TO GET ME HIGH COMPRESSION PISTONS FOR MY F20C, WHAT ELSE WOULD I HAVE TO UPGRADE TO MAKE THE PISTON UPGRADE WORTH IT?
Hold up the JDM bandwagon a sec.
First of all 101 RON is recommended for that car which equals 96 octane here, yes 1ps = .96 hp. Also the JDM ecu has a different fuel and timming curve to match. And the climate is generally cooler there and gas is more consitent.
The last thing you want to do is run low on gas on a hot summer day and end up at an ARCO with 12.5:1 compression.
Tuning and alot of it is what needs to have happen. I personnally for reasons like harmonics and thermal loading would not dissamble the engine @ random. King motorsports would be a good choice but expensive
and just an FYI this is the fastest N/A s2000 in the world AFAIK notice however it's not a drag racer. I would keep this in mind
