I have recently put a new motor in my 91 si, when i went to fire it up i hade no spark or fuel, went to check trouble codes, and ecu showed none, my fuel pump relay was buzing and clicking very load, and had no power to the fuel pump. i put in different ecu and now have fuel but still no spark, i have tryed 3 different distributors and still nothing, the one off the old motor was brand new. could use some help, thanks.

 

Well first off if your main relay is buzzing & clicking, I'd change it. Next check your dist. to make sure it's getting proper power, connection, & current. Check all grounds & you might want 2 even try swapping ecu's. If none of this turns up anything you may want 2 go to a professional for further help.

 

Well like i said above i already swapped out the ecu and the relay is not buzzing anymore. I have power to the distributor, im going to check the resistance in all of them but like i said one of them is brand new, i cant believe it would be bad. as to the grounds i believe that i have them all but what ground would have to do with the dis?

 

the grounds to the motor, especially the 1 in the back of the motor form the harness. If left lose a ground could cause all of these problems. (it's just one of those things that need to be checked)
