Auto Theft. Post your information here.
This was originally thought up for the Seattle/Tacoma people, but I would like this to be used for everyone as a means to communicate with one another on names and information regarding scam artists and most importantly car thieves. I have been thinking about making a thread like this for a while, however I just received a message from a good friend back home who's car was stolen which has then prompted me into action. This is a problem that is getting out of hand.
I would like to see the mods (pretty pleeeeeeese) sticky this thread for easy reference.
I suppose it wouldn't be too bad to put up some guide lines for this thread:
CAR THEFT
1) Keep this thread civil. I don't want to see any name bashing, speculation, pointing fingers, E-thug typing, personal threats or anything else that would put a stink on my thread. If you do, I will bug the moderators until your post has been deleted.
2) Do not post names of potential suspects unless there has been an arrest that YOU know of.
3) If you do have an ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE ID (backed up with factual information, then post the name of the thief so we can all work together.
4) Relative information is permitted such as clear pictures/video of suspect, suspects car, your information, your license plate number of the car, what was stolen, solid descriptions, police reports, web links.
5) If stolen parts are/being found/purchased/sold, please post it along with clear pictures/video of the item(s). Contact me via IM and I will work with you on passing this information to the proper authorities if you need help doing so.
6) I will bug the mods to delete all unrelative posts.
SCAM ARTISTS
1) Keep this thread civil. I don't want to see any name bashing, speculation, pointing fingers, E-thug typing, personal threats or anything else that would put a stink on my thread. If you do, I will bug the moderators until your post has been deleted.
2) Post the name and if possible the address of the person who scammed you plus how much, what for, when...anything relative.
3) Post your name along with clear scans/pictures of the M/O receipt(s). We do not want your address.
Thank you all for your help. More eyes and ears are better than one set. Let's make HT safer and most importantly the areas where we live.
Aloha,
Brandon

you do know there's a forum for this right? https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum?id=27
by posting all your alarm mods, it just gives theives a chance to know what you've got, and maybe develop a system to bypass them. gotta be careful what information you divulge.
but i understand your concern. sorry about your friend.

I understand what your saying, but this is for the Type-R boys. So with that being said, this is where I want it to stay being that our cars are stolen on a daily basis. We need an easy place to share relivent information while it is fresh.
Who posted stuff about alarm mods and what not? I'm confused about your statement.
