The Alabama Region is headed back to Talladega Gran Prix Raceway (TGPR) http://www.tgprace.com on Sunday, March 13,2005 the day after a club trial like Solo event at the same location. If you like higher speed autocross that saturday event is for you. Sunday will be the PDE which is run on the 1.3 mile road course that has plenty of runoff and not a lot to hit.
In-car instruction and classroom sessions will be provided. Entries will be limited in order to provide quality track time for entrants. Cost is only $135.

Do you know if there will be a Solo1 school at TGP this year? Scott (catch22) mentioned there would be one in april

 

Hey RJ. Yes there will be a Solo 1 (now time trials). Look at sedivracing.org and pull up the 2005 calendar (it say April 16-17th). The event will be co-sanctioned by the Alabama Region and TVR region. I hope to have everything together by then to sign up for the Solo 1, er, Time Trial school because I really want to do the Crow Mountain Hillclimb. That should take me back to my irresponsible youth but this time on a closed course venue.

I am helping our new Time Trials Chair write his supps and stuff. The school/time trial forms and supps. will probably hit the internet in about two weeks hopefully less.
