you probably have a big leak or it is overcharged. it wont cool if it is overcharged as well. put a manifold set on it and look at you highside and lowside pressures.

the gauge seemed to be acting funny like it wasn't giving me a correct reading, the needle would jump all the way up when the stuff was flowing but go down when nothing was
