Save yourself the trouble and get a 96-98 harness (I'm speaking from 1st hand experience), the distributors are different from 96-98 & 99-00. Also, there will be a few plugs that will be left unplug (i.e. that black canister near the battery in 96-98s, 99-00s didnt have them, so the 99 harness doesnt have the plugs for it.)

I had swapped my original D16Y8 over to B Series, then 3 years later decided to go back to stock, so I bought a complete 99-00 Y8 swap & ran into the same problem with the harness (I had to reuse my 96-98 harness & swap distributors from 99-00 to 96-98)

BTW, this was in a 97 Civic EX MT

HTH

i think distributors from 96-00 are the same plug..i'm using a 00 SI dizzy on my 98 harness and it plugs right up...but for all the other plugs such as the dash, yea...i'm screw..anybody looking to buy a 99 ex manual harness?

I don't wanna doubt you because you say its in your car - but this isn't what I've heard, nor seen.

96-98 uses a 9-pin dizzy.

99-00 uses a 8-pin dizzy (it lacks the Blu tach wire).
