Length of intake runners for a carb setup.(crvtec)
Im pretty familiar with carb setups, but ive only ran the usual, short style intake mani with them. First ill let you know the setup.
b20 stock bore
IB spec pistons 8.5cc dome (~12.6:1 comp)
b16 head
S2s3's
usual headwork
Crower springs/retainers
b16 trans
thats the basics i guess
all this going into an 86 crx dx.
Im cutting a box out of the firewall so that i can extend the intake setup further way, and placing a 14x8 air filter on the top and bottom of the box and the other 3 sides will be enclosed that are inside the cabin.
The engine bay side will have a rubber seal to complete the sealed box.
Now the question, what would be a good length to make the runners? redline will be about 8500 and that is where i should make the most power from the setup.
carbs would be weber dcoe 45's.
Sorry for the randomness and long post.
