Default Running real rich after injector install.

Im having a problem running real rich all through the rpm's. The motor is a b20b with skunk i/m, DC ITR header, stock cams, stock pistons and all the things to tune it myself, AFC, and a FPR.

I swapped out my old injectors and fuel rail for RC 270cc injectors and a STR fuel rail. The swap went smoothly, no leaks, everything seemed to seal up fine. I set the FPR at about 40 when i took off the vacum hose. The AFC was already set at -6 of correction at 1000-2000rpms. When i start it up its running way to rich. The exhaust was popping non-stop. Heres where it scares me, in order to have it idle descently i have to lean it out with the AFC -44 of correction. Isnt that way to much to lean it out at? The injectors are only 270cc and the old injectors were 240cc (stock b18a injectors). There shouldnt of been that much of correction with the AFC right?

Im begging for any help cuase i really dont want to wash my cylinder walls down or run way to lean where i screw something up.

thanks, aaron

That has been done also, nothing really happened after resetting it. Its a pr4 ecu (obd0 is retarded, doesnt really learn much ).

How would i know if they were stuck open? It would make sense that they would be cuase im having to lean it out almost half. I might just throw my stock injectors back in, this is becoming a hassle in a half.

what pressure were the injectors rated at first of all, it may just be too high of a fuel pressure.

i don't think you even needed them to begin with though

Are you running peak and hold or saturated? What ECU? Chipped?

Oh, I didn't see that. Well in that case he should be running peak and hold injectors. Are you sure the injectors are peak and hold? There are part numbers on the injector that tell you.

The injectors are RC 270cc, well the old injectors ticked real loud and knew they werent in the best of shape, so i decided to replace them.

Do you have a wideband on the car? I don't see how 270's would run rich on a 2.0L unless it had a $hitty program dump'n too much fuel.

I would get a wideband reading on the setup before playing with it anymore. Did you buy the injectors used or new? Maybe you have a bad injector causing it to run rough? It hard to diagnose not knowing the A/F ratio.

The injectors are new from RC. How much does a wideband go for, ill try anything to make it run like a champ again.

i wouldn't lean the motor out that much after 10 the ecu starts adjusting timing i think you need to get the car on a dyno for some fuel tuning i swaped a gsr onto a stock jdm b20 and just at idle you couldn't be in the garage i would realy think about going to a dyno sooooon you could ruin the rings if you keep it like that

I need to do something quick cuase i dont want to screw my motor up. Who makes a a/f guage that actually gives you a percise read out unlike those auto-meter ones.
