Tein ss coilvers??
I have an 88 Crx Si and I have been looking all over the net for a great deal on used or brand new set of Tein SS coilovers. Does anybody know where I might find some good prices to decide from? Thanks
prostreetonline.com has them for $950..
And you'll need 89-91 civic/crx rear lower control arms to run those..
I would never get tein coilovers..They rust worse then the car in my avatar

don't switch your control arms, buy coilovers for an itr and switch you front forks to 92+ civic ones.

Galvanized metal rusts when exposed to rain, salt and snow, there is no way around this, it is the nature of the metal.
I don’t think it comes down to brand either about how quick they will rust out. I have seen PSS9s rust out completely, and become un adjustable after 1 winter season, and have seen other PSS9 sets last years. It is really just luck of the draw, and how well you clean them. If you don’t take off a galvanized coilover and clean it at least once every six months, you asking for it to rust. Use a wire brush for best results.
Outsane, if you are referring to the TEIN setup you have on the race car in your sig, I not sure how that relates to a daily driven street car. Race track systems shouldn’t ever rust because they are not exposed to salt (or at least that’s the idea).
Use a wire brush, and take care of them would be my advice.

Um, that's retarded.
Just buy the correct coilovers and switch the control arms. It's easier and faster.

i got mine from http://www.titanmotorsports.com for under $900 shipped...
as for the rust issues mine have been installed for a year and a half, the only teins that ive heard of having rust problems were the 88-91 tein HA's which are now discontinued.

for an 88 the itr coilovers are the right coilovers. they use almost the exact same lower control arm. and how is it easier to switch the control arms than the forks, when you have to take off the forks anyway? both ways work and both ways are correct, simply because you prefer switching the control arms does not make the other way retarded. there are always options when dealing with hondas.

I could have sworn the damper assemblies for '92+ Civic and '94+ Integra were longer, which would shorten the available stroke . . .

If you get the 89-91 civic/crx coilovers you'll need 89-91 civic/crx rear lower control arms..
And if you get the ones for an integra-r you can keep the stock 88 civic/crx rear control arms but you'll need 92+civic or 94+integra front forks..
