Default ET Bracket exhaust rule....

I'm reading the NHRA rulebook for ET bracket and it says regarding exhaust"

"All car competing in E.T. Bracket classes must be equipped with functioning muffler(s). Any Vehicle that did not come equipped with a muffler(s) from the factory permitted, provided complete, unmodified (except for header) OEM exhaust system is utilized."

It doesnt say anything about location....Am i to assume that the functional muffler is only permitted to exit behind the rear wheels?

so basically waht im asking is if they are saying a racer has to have a full exhasut on the car? no side exits?

depends on the day. Some will let you race un muffled on Saturdays and on main event day (sunday) you have to have a muffler.
Doesnt need to exit the rear of the car. as long as theres a muffler or close to one on there

Brackets are not as strict as you are making it seem.
