Lowered car--road noise goes way up???
I just recently lowered my car with coilovers, and now the road noise is almost unbearable, it was really pretty quite before, because I sound deadened the whole car expect the door panels. I just have a stock cx hatcback. Has anyone else with a stock car lowered it and experienced this, or did I somehow screw something up to cause this?
did you put coilovers on stock shocks or aftermarket shocks???
When you lower a car I would imagine the road noise would be a bit louder since your car will be closer to the ground itself.
That's how we roll y0

i don't mind the noise after i lowered my car with coils. in fact i don't notice too much noise after the drop. and yes the road going to work is horrible but i don't hear no bad noise.

wait till you put a 3 inch exhaust on your car.lol. i just finished my project and my exhaust is LOUD!!!!! It will go down a tad probly when i get the turbo on there in about a month but till then ill just have to turn it up a bit more.
right now I just have on stock steelies and some toyo all season performance tires. I just ordered new tires for new 15 inch rims so I was going to wait until I got those on to get an alignment, most of the noise seems to be coming from up front. What exactly do you mean by "hows your spring seats"
thanks

i think you eventually get used to all the noise, if you drive that car all the time. it's pretty bad on the freeway, and potholes hurt like a ****. one good thing... it'll keep u awake if u have to drive early in the morning or late at night, hehe.

It's the toe. Your tires are eating themselves alive, trying to drive in two different directions at once. Get an alignment done immediately and it should address most of the noise.
