All that I am upgrading on my head are valve springs and retainers. It is a GSR head, see sig for more details on setup.
Any info on how this may affect my max power? Or any dyno's on stock heads making big power?

my buddie was making 510 with a stock head , just valvetrain....... he's going to be making close to 700 this year with the same head
honda head were design very well...godlmember maded 550hp on a stock head inbetween a race the head blew or something withthe top end so they slapped on a stock head dynoed at harvs and made 550hp. with a full built motor he made 650whp.

basically after seeing that picture of the valve meeting the combustion chamber i got scared. what is the first weak point to break?
i only want replace what is going to cause major catastrophic damage.

NO! GSR cams are only rated for 499whp! Just short!
J/K GSR cams are fine or ITR cams. I had good luck with ITR cams

Boostfed the innvator...exactly what he posted stock heads have made alot of power.
I would love to run a GSR stock combustion chamber with a 84mm+ bore.. Read a little about quench area in Maxium Boost by Corky Bell. Lets just say we might be able to run MORE timing because of it..

500whp should not be a problem at all. I was about 425 at 10psi with stock ports and stock sized valves last year. This year I plan on being 650 with the same setup and a lot more boost. This is a P72 head btw.

Just FYI, I was hesitant on the stock head before with stock valves BUT it was all good!!! Stock head and valves with Skunk2 springs and retainers in the old head! If you are swapping in valvetrain though might as well upgrade the valves too!

the stock gsr cams are great for turbo apps..... I would reccomend going ahead and upgrading the valves also....
