Are you talking stock pistons or aftermarket pistons? Are you using them in a b16 block or a gsr block?

You'll need to cut the OE pistons for spiro locks and shorten the OE Pins or convert the eagle to press fit.

Im wondering why you want to use aftermarket rods with OEM pistons.

I'm assuming you are keeping it N/A, in that case, the stock rods are good enough for a daily driven setup. No need for aftermarket rods. Now, if you're going for max power, the aftermarket rods are a good thing to have, but in that case you should be going with forged and higher compression anyways.

well im using oem pistons because i have a set already. and the rods because i have a chance to get a set dirt cheap... so i was jsut wondering but i was also a little iffy about using the stock rods because ill be reving out to about 9k. so i didnt know if it would be too much stress on the stock rods.

The motor in this vid had modified Topline ITR pistons to accept spiro locs using Probe rods. Ran nicely to 10k.
