Default axles...

i gotta question...i recently replaced my axles in my cd5...and just curious of how many of you out there have replaced yours...

what contributes to them going bad..??? i have several hondas in my time and my axles tend to go bad anywhere from 5-7 years....is this normal...?

Well I had my axles replaced when I had the CV boots done. The mechanic used some aftermarket axles which in turn went bad fairly fast so I ended up going with a remanufactured Honda axle. Not sure what causes them to go bad though. Perhaps just wear and tear over time.

my originals just went bad(meaning the cv joint) so i replaced them with one from advance and one from autozone, long story short i have to replace them both again...do yourself a favor and get new ones, racing axles or reman from honda
