well i just finished putting in a a6 bottom end on a dx head with dual port still and have a couple questions. the thing idle fine for a few min and then slowly dies. also when you drive it you cant just start off normal you have to lauch at like 4k or it will bog out. it is throwing 2 codes. one id the intake air sensor and the other is the idle air control. do you think thu\si has anything to do with it running like ****? also it smells like gas. thanks for any help

 

IACV? Check it. Start re-checking vacuum lines as well, you probably have one hooked up wrong.

 

yeah its throwing a code for that but will that make it run really bad?or just make a sugeing idle?

 

anyone have any other ideas?

If I remember right the plugs on those two sensors fit the same they could be mixed up (I did that on my ZC swap) But what you should do is check those plugs / check your vac lines / pull your hazard fuse (to reset the ecu) and start it up.
